2016 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards Ceremony(2016.11.23)
  The 2016 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) was held at Howard Civil Service International House Convention Hall on Wednesday 9:00 am, November 23rd. Over 9 chairmen, one vice-chairman, thirty-three managing directors, and sixteen vice presidents, attended this ceremony and receive prize. The Ceremony invited Vice President of Taiwan Mr. Chien-Jen Chen as presenter and give opening remarks. The three categories of Awards are "The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Award", " The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award – Top Ten Domestic Corporates", "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award– Top Three Foreign Corporates" and the "Sustainable Corporates" Awards.
2016 International Green and Smart Mobility Forum (2016.10.31)
 
The 2016 International Green and Smart Mobility Forum is hosted by the Taiwan Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taipei City Government, the Telecommunication and Transportation Foundation, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, and the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Department of Transportation and Communication Management Science & Institute of Telecommunications Management. The Forum was held on Monday, October 31, 2016, at the NCKU Library Conference Room, with more than 170 in attendance from academia, industry, government and experts, along with NCKU faculty and students, for a very lively event.
CSR Academic Paper Awards Ceremony(2016.10.11)
  On 11 October 2016, Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), and Taiwan Center for Corporate Sustainability (CCS) held their first "CSR Academic Papers Award Ceremony", at The Taipei Gas Corporation Building's fourth floor meeting room. The judges for the awards , prize-winning students, and their advising professors, and the committee members of CCS all attended the ceremony.
2016 Cross-Strait Climate Change & Sustainable Energy Forum (2016.9.10-11)
  On September 10-11, the 12th Annual Session, of the 2016 Cross-Strait Climate Change & Sustainable Energy Forum, at the campus of the University of Science & Technology Beijing. Among the Forum attendees were 11 distinguished members of the China Academy of Engineering, 1 member of the China Academy of Sciences, and a total of 180 experts, academics and civil society representatives including 52 guests from Taiwan. The theme of this session’s forum was “The Energy Revolution and the Green Economy”. The forum was successfully hosted with guidance from the Energy and Mining Engineering Department of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The event was co-organized by the Institute of Climate & Energy Sustainable Development, along with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Development, and held on the campus of the University of Science & Technology Beijing.
2016 Green+ Together (2016.8.25)
  Industrie 4.0 is the German high-tech strategic initiative to maintain its global competiveness. Taiwan has also announced Smart Machinery as one of the five innovative plans to transform its industrial structure and sustain its economic development. On August 25 (Thursday), 2016 in Taipei, over 300 senior political and business leaders from Taiwan and Germany gathered at the “Green+ Together 2016 Taiwan Sustainability Summit: Future of Manufacturing & Digitalization” to exchange experiences and views around Smart Machinery and Industrie 4.0. Summit organizers Siemens, German Institute Taipei (GIT), German Trade Office (GTO), and Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) concluded the seven Core Statements for further collaboration between Taiwan and Germany in realizing the vision of Smart Machinery and Industrie 4.0.
Interview with Hewlett-Packard International Executive Discussing Global Sustainability(20106.03.08)
  Hewlett-Packard sent a delegation to visit the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) on March 8, and was received by Chairman Dr. Eugene Chien who welcomed HPI’s Global Head of Product Sustainability and Compliance, Dr. Judy Glazer, along with Taiwan Public Relations Director Hui-Ying Chiang(Hewlett Packard Enterprise) and Manager Alex Yu-Ping Hsiao(HPI), for a broad ranging discussion of global sustainability issues and policies.
TVBS “T Perspectives” Interviews TAISE Chairman Dr. Eugene Chien on “The Plastic Waste Crisis and Emerging Green Business Opportunities”(2016.04.18)
  On Sunday, April 17, at 10pm, TVBS Channel 56, aired their “T Perspectives” program featuring “The Plastic Waste Crisis and Emerging Green Business Opportunities”, with their host Ms. Chia-Lu Hsiah interviewing TAISE Chairman Dr. Eugene Chien (Executive Director of the Taiwan Center for Corporate Sustainability), sharing about international waste plastic recycling trends and Taiwan’s successful experience in recycling efforts.
Corporate Sustainability Training Workshop Exclusively explains the TCSA Judging Process(2016.01.15、01.19、01.26、03.15、04.14、04.22、07.01)
  The Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) seek to ensure an open and transparent judging process. To establish Taiwan’s CSR system and standards, and train corporate sustainability seed personnel, every year the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy invites judges to participate in the evaluation process, and this January 15th and 19th conducted the Entry Level courses for the “Corporate Sustainability Judges Training” at the 30th Floor Training Class of the PwC Accounting Firm. A total of 195 students participated from across industry, academia, research, and the government, for a robust course participation.
