TAISE and Deloitte Taiwan jointly conduct the 2018 Second Session of the Corporate Sustainability Leaders Training Course Date:2018-01-08

Deloitte, Taiwan, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) and the Center for Corporate Sustainability (CCS) jointly held the 13th overall session and the 2018 Second Session of the “Corporate Sustainability Leaders Training Course”on Thursday, January 4th, at the DeLoitte Training Room with nearly 70 participants from industry and other sectors in attendance.

Deloitte Credit Risk Management Consulting Executive Vice President Mike I. Chang delivered welcoming remarks noting that corporate sustainability has already emerged as a leading trend and area of significant study. Deloitte Credit Risk will continue to work with TAISE to conduct CSR training courses, working hand in hand with students from diverse fields, to assist corporations to realize their sustainability strategies. TAISE Chairman Eugene Chien explained in his remarks that TAISE will rely on CSR introductory and intermediate training courses to develop leaders from many more diverse fields, train volunteer judges for the TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, and deploy CSR streamlining and cognition to convey benefits to stakeholders including across social, corporate and individual dimensions, while encouraging everyone to take the classes for training and to gain experience for new professional skills and competencies as CSR seed leaders empowered to spread forth the power of sustainability to advance corporate sustainability competitiveness to stimulate Taiwan’s overall sustainable development.

This course invited Yao-Te Chen, Senior Consultant to Tunghai University Industry-Academia Collaboration and Innovation Incubation Center, along with CCS Secretary General Dr. Yuh-Ming Lee and Deputy Secretary General Dr. Jackie Pin-Chih Wang, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Adjunct Professor Dr. Young Ku to lecture. The introductory course contents included corporate sustainability reportage writing techniques, global sustainability trends, TCSA Awards judging principles, and related evaluation process explanations, along with practical judging exercises, allowing students to effectively develop their competencies in evaluating reportage quality through learning and cultivation; the intermediate course provided further development of student skills in evaluating overall corporate efficacy in addition to fundamental reportage capabilities.
 

This year’s “2018 Corporate Sustainability Leaders Training Courses” are now available for online registration for the introductory and intermediate classes, with the introductory course to be held in February 9, March 8 and March 29 cohorts; and the intermediate course to be held in March 2, March 23 and April 12 cohorts. Registration is limited, and available only until filled, so those executives or front line personnel interested in streamlining corporate sustainability reportage, or university or college students and members of the public concerned with or interested in CSR are welcome to register for participation.
