FEB 3 Performing environmental protection and protecting health starts from global sugar reduction Date:2018-02-06
 As we go toward the new era of low carbon, people’s living habits also start to change along with it. The most obvious one can be seen from changes in food culture. Taiwan is one of the countries with the most consumption of meat products. Two problems arise from meat eating. One is environmental pollution brought by the carbon dioxide produced from animal husbandry and the other is health issues like blood sugar and blood pressure in terms of  “in vivo environmental protection”.
“Sugar reduction” seemingly has become a global trend and fad. Sugar reduction plans are in full-scale execution in various countries. For example, the US government encourages people to reduce intake of table sugar and has enacted sugar tax in strike a balance in market demands. The UK started to implement sugar tax in March of 2016 and their national health has also risen as well since then.
