The last 20 days! Soon the Global Corporate Sustainability Form (GCSF) will be held at the Taipei Grand Hotel Date:2018-11-03

To further promote the United Nations 2015 promulgation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhancing overall sustainability competitiveness, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy is working with stakeholders throughout the corporate, government agency, academic and research, and nonprofit sectors to establish the Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (A•SDGs), founded on August 21, 2018.
A•SDGs in response to the international community, and global corporate implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement, are joining forces with other partners to launch the promotion of responsible investing and the sustainable development field, by extending invitations to renowned domestic corporations, government, academic and research institutions to participate in the Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF) from Thursday, November 22 through Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Taipei Grand Hotel 12th Floor Meeting Hall. This will ensure that we can work together in Taiwan to forge abiding connections among the world’s industries, academic institutions, and research organizations, to amplify the pulse of the latest trends, and engage the international community in exchange, while endeavoring to implement sustainability education and seize new business opportunities. This year’s Forum will host the GCSA Global Corporate Sustainability Awards, www.globalcsforum.com/gcsa with two major Award categories recognizing GCSA-Professional and GCSA-Reporting success. These will not only provide recognition for the highest honors in corporate sustainability, but help realize and further corporate sustainable management standards and performance efficacy improvement and stellar results achieved.

This year the GCSF theme will be Actions for Corporate Sustainability, including the Awards ceremonies for both the GCSA and TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards. The GCSF has specially invited speakers from the three major global accounting firms, from Deloitte, EY and PwC, for corporate sustainability workshops, and the ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability which works closely with the UN, also to offer sustainability workshop, and the BSI Taiwan Office to present the BSI Sustainability Standards, along with the College of Business, National Taipei University, for the CSR Academic Papers Symposium, along with Taiwan and International CSR/SDGs case study lectures and sharing. The host organizers aspire to ensure this major global event will recognize the growing importance of SDGs and CSR efficacy and best practices and actions, as well as emerging business opportunities, which will allow firms to become leaders in corporate sustainable development, while also advancing their presence on the global stage, allowing the entire international community to bear witness to Taiwan’s outstanding sustainability actions in every field of endeavor.
