CCS holds the premier 2019 CSO Salon sharing CDP water management experiences

The premier 2019 Taiwan CSO Salon was held on the afternoon of March 7, at the Breeze Lounge VIP Meeting Room.The Salon event was personally hosted by CCS Executive Director Ambassador Eugene Chien, along with Yao-Te Chen, Senior Consultant at the Tunghai University Industry-Academia Collaboration and Innovation Incubation Center who shared about the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Water Security evaluation survey key results and domestic and international water management trends.


Ambassador Chien and Breeze Senior Manager Mei-Ting Chen, jointly welcomed the respective corporate representatives in attendance.Ambassador Chien began with opening remarks noting that in recent years domestic enterprises have witnessed emergence of a strong trend for promoting social responsibility, and accelerated development in sustainability, so there is a strong momentum propelling the need for more human capital with sustainability competencies. Ambassador Chien especially remarked that corporate sustainability is replete with diverse expressions, and there is even a fad for using micro-movies to capture and relate corporate images, with CCS also hosting the Taipei Golden Eagle Micro-Movie Festival which has enjoyed double its number of entries and participants. This Salon event also invited Ming-Chieh Chang, Chairman ofthe CCS member enterprise, Taiwan Cogeneration Corporation, to share about TCC’s 26 year history from its founding, along with its contributions to domestic power generation, and their vision for investing resources in corporate sustainability.

本場次分享人陳耀德資深顧問則向與會企業代表介紹 CDP水安全評比問卷的發展歷程,CDP問卷討論之重點內容、企業應如何針對風險與敏感度進行分析,並評估嚴重性、衝擊性與依賴度等參數進行填答。除了分析目前我國企業在此項問卷表現與得分狀況,最後並討論在台灣與全球刻正面臨之颱風、旱澇頻繁等水風險情境下,企業方將如何能以未來長期規劃與多元管道的方式,在水管理上做出貢獻。
