TAISE Chairman Ambassador Eugene Chien noted in opening remarks that sustainable development is a ripe field, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are heralding innovation and economic growth, expected to generate annual production of US$1.2 trillion, and create 380 million new global employment opportunities. Last year in 2018, the A·SDGs and domestic industry, government, academia and research sector stakeholders joined forces to host the Global Corporate Sustainability Forum, (GCSF) which attracted 2,100 participants, evincing the importance today’s corporations place on sustainability.
